George Mason and Burke Basketball
Over 200 Burke Basketball Players and Families attended GMU practice on Dec. 28th.
The Burke Players got to meet the Coach, the Players and have a shoot around on the main court.
It was a great photo-opt for the parents and grandparents and the kids had an amazing time.
Thank you to everyone who came and participated. And Thank You to the George Mason Basketball Players and Coach Paulsen!!
Every year Robinson hosts a large scaled basketball event that is open to the community- called FanQuest.
FanQuest is Robinson's Annual Volunteer to Cheer event hosted annually for Special Olympics basketball. It continues to grow each year…last year there were almost 3,500 fans in the stands.
This event is the culminating activity for SGA’s Disability Awareness week, which is January 30-Feburary 4th. On Saturday Feb 4th in the main hallway at Robinson there will be a free-tailgate complete with games, food sold by the Boosters, face painting, etc. The gym doors open at 5:30 for a (free) double header basketball game. Robinson’s Unified team plays Lee HS and then our Special Olympics team plays Lake Braddock to end the night. This year there will be t.v. timeout performances by: The Jumping Lions, Robinson Drum Line, Robinson Dance team, Mason Spirit band, Lake Braddock Color Guard, and many more!!
Doors open at 5:30pm.
Tip-off for the first game is at 6:45pm, but we suggest arriving no later than 6:30pm to get a great seat! The basketball game should end at 9:15pm. (Saturday, February 4th).
